Allison Martin-Attix
Allison Martin-Attix, RYT has been a certified practitioner of TfM since 2005. She is a dedicated teacher and student of the yogic arts and transformational meditation, as well as an ordained minister through the Association for the Integration of the Whole Person.
In 1997, in pursuit of her own authentic expression of Self, Allison began studying hatha and raja yoga, meditation and various healing arts. Her journey ultimately led her to the Academy of Self Knowledge where her significant personal transformation prompted her to pursue a teaching path, so that she could share this model with others. In addition to her training with The Academy's founder and senior teacher, Dr. Carol Libby Adams, Allison has studied yoga with many Internationally known teachers. After 4 years of intense study and internship, she received her yoga teacher's certification in 2005. She has also trained professionally in the performing arts, having received a degree in Liberal Arts from Cabrillo College in her hometown of Aptos, California.
Allison currently balances life between teaching yoga & TfM, offering "Self-knowledge" retreats around the world, traveling & lecturing extensively as an executive for a European anthroposophical brand, surfing, running, horseback riding & indulging in the finest chocolate culinary delights.
Allison celebrates life with her husband, Steve, 4 stepchildren, 2 cats and her handsome Paso Fino horse, Flameante de Gracia. They currently reside in Cary, NC, where Allison and Steve have co-founded the Southern Light Center of AIWP, a future site for spiritual retreats, yoga, natural horsemanship and weddings.
"My mission is to extend love, light, joy and freedom; revealing the "keys to the kingdom", building heaven on earth."
